Relaxing at-home spa treatments

Updated: May 20, 2020

In the self-isolation, our lifestyle has changed a lot and such things like facials or massages in the salons are not even an option. So the only possibility to get some nice relaxing treatments is to do them ourselves, right? ;)

I found a few ideas for enjoyable skin and body care. Like this, you can create a relaxing at-home spa, a perfect way to switch off your mind and take a break from the chaotic lifestyle.

home spa rituals

After winter, we all need to prepare our body for the summer days and short dresses. Regular exfoliation is important for removing dead cells and keeping our skin glowing :)

So start your home spa with a relaxing shower/ or a bath (I unfortunately don't have a bathtub, so a shower is my only option, but it can be still very enjoyable :))

If you look at my bathroom, Rituals products are simply everywhere. Hand washes, shower gels, body lotions..

I've tried different body scrubs from different companies, but honestly nothing compares to the ones from Rituals. Their consistency and fragrances are just to die for!

My absolute favourite at the moment is THE RITUAL OF JING Body Scrub. Sacred Lotus from the newest Collection - The Ritual of Jing - will provide you a relaxing exfoliation and leave your skin silky soft. I'm using it by rubbing in circular motions over the body, always paying extra attention to the driest areas like elbows and ankles.

Coming out of the shower or bath is the ideal time for a facial treatment , when your pores are open from the steam. I've been using Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask, works great for getting rid of impurities and providing vital minerals to your skin. Leave it on for 15 min and rinse off. Your skin is now cleansed and ready for a special product I want to share here with you.

NUFACE

is a facial toning device that helps improving facial contour, facial tone, and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Seems pretty great, right? It's a new device, that I've been testing since a short period of time. But I can already say that it's super easy to use and I'm excited to see the results after some time of using :)

How it works?

It stimulates the areas of your face and neck with gentle micro-current, going beyond skin deep to improve facial contour. You just use it for 5 minutes per day with a special primer. After the treatment just continue with your skincare routine.

Make yourself comfortable and enjoy the spa feeling.

With a fully refreshed and rejuvenated face, it's time for your body and soul.

Don't forget about a proper moisturiser for your whole body, especially after using peelings. I love using the Rituals Dry Oil from the Jing Collection. It's absorbed very quickly and it doesn't leave a fatty effect on your skin. And the scent is just divine... Sandalwood clears your mind and lets you focus on finding your peace...

So we took care of our face and body, now it's time to find a relief for our tense muscles.

And nothing helps better than a nice massage. Creating an unwinding moment together with your partner is also a romantic way to spend a lovely, relaxing evening.

The Ritual of Jing Massage Candle is so helpful with de-stressing. Full of essential moisturising oils helps soothing the skin and the fragrances of Lavender and Sacred Wood in it, will bring you into a different dimension. You won't even realise how fast and good you can fall asleep after inhaling it for a while.

How to use it?

Light the candle for 15-20 minutes to melt the oil. Blow out the candle, wait 2 minutes for the oil to cool down a bit and it's time for a massage! ;)

Put a Meditational Playlist and let yourself relax!

Hopefully these few things will help you escape from you every day problems, stressful situations and will let you reach a deep relaxation and restful, regenerating sleep.

Wishing you lots of relaxing moments and stay safe!

xx
